Otiena Ellwand is a reporter at the Telegraph-Journal in Saint John, New Brunswick.

She recently graduated from Ryerson University’s journalism program. During her four-year degree she spent time interning overseas at CBC’s bureau in London, England and at a daily newspaper in Mumbai, India.

She’s also worked in many communities across Canada. She spent one summer interning at Victoria, B.C.’s only alt-weekly, Monday Magazine and another summer working as a videographer at Banff National Park. One of the film’s she co-produced was selected as a finalist at the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival.

She’s contributed to such publications as the Toronto Star online, Spacing Magazine, McClung’s Magazine, and the Ryersonian.
